Dr Kershaw's Hospice required comprehensive protection for both their on-premise server data and their Microsoft 365 tenant covering 150 users — including Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive — to meet NHS supply chain requirements and GDPR obligations.
Existing backup was limited to on-premise only, with no protection for cloud data and no offsite copy to protect against ransomware, fire or site-level disaster. Recovery time objectives had never been formally defined.
