The Project
Due to internal expansion, International Footwear Limited needed to relocate operations to offices behind their current building.
IFR shared IT services with their sister company L.H. Safety. The relocation will require the installation of a new local LAN, Domain, file & print servers and reconfiguration of all network settings and external services including Email and internet all of which will be independent of L.H. Safety.
As the current incumbent IT partner for IFR Limited, FORESIGHTtechnical were asked to put forward a proposal to complete the required relocation works. This included project management, supply, configuration and testing of new and existing equipment, and on site assistance within the 2 week deadline.
The Solution
FORESIGHTtechnical put forward a project definition report which detailed the design & installation of a brand new network, separating all current services from that of their sister company.
This incorporated infrastructure installation including the assembly of the CAT5e network & switch configuration, a new domain, file and print servers, internet access and router configuration, email systems and the reconfiguration of desk top PC’s to reflect their new domain details.
The project was managed by our team of highly skilled engineers, with IFR management closely involved to ensure no disruption to normal day to day operations.
The project was designed and implemented within a 2 week period meeting the requirements of IFR’s board.
